Introduction
The Isolation Service Manifold (ISM) is a device to be placed in between
hydraulic power supply and hydraulic service manifold that:
• Provides hydraulic power isolation downstream of the device,
• Provides protection from system over-pressurization,
• Provides system pressure discharge, and
• Provides a means to drain the system for maintenance.

Intended Use The ISM is placed in between the hydraulic power supply (HPS) and hydraulic
service manifold (HSM). It is intended to provide full hydraulic power isolation
downstream of the ISM, prevent system over-pressurization, and provide full
system pressure discharge. In addition, the ISM provides a means to drain the
system for maintenance.
What you need to
know
MTS Systems Corporation assumes that you know how to use your controller.
See the appropriate manual for information about performing any controller-
related step in this manual’s procedures. You are expected to know how to turn
hydraulic pressure on and off.
Related products The ISM works in conjunction with Isolation Service Manifold Controller,
hydraulic power unit, and hydraulic service manifold. See the associated product
manuals for product-specific information.
