Connector and Indicator Technical Reference

This section provides information of the various connectors on the ISM

Controller.

J1A/B Connectors

Function Channel A and B HSM Command State Input connectors that connect to an HSM

controller (HSM High, Low, and Proportional) command output to the ISM

controller. These signals are received by the ISM controller and are passed

through to the HSM command output connectors J28A/B for connection to

HSMs.

Pin Outs/Electrical

Pin Description

Interlock Relay 1 normally-open (NO) contact.

NO contact for interlock out relay #1 for this

channel. Open = interlock.

Interlock Relay 1 NO contact.

NO contact for interlock out relay #1 for this

channel. Can be wired to pin 6 of this connector to

wire the two interlock out relays in this connector in

series so that the connection points to the interlock

relay from the system prospective is pins 1 and 3.

Interlock Relay 2 NO contact.

NO contact for interlock out relay #2 for this

channel. Open = interlock.

HSM High In.

HSM Hi command input from an HSM controller

output.

HSM Proportional In.

HSM proportional command input from an HSM

controller output.

Interlock Relay 2 NO contact.

NO contact for interlock out relay #2 for this

channel. Can be wired to pin 2 of this connector to

wire the two interlock out relays in this connector in

series so that the connection points to the interlock

relay from the system prospective is pins 1 and 3.
